In order for City of Phoenix Police Officers to legally arrest you for trespassing on a business's property after it is closed for the day, the business must have "No Trespassing" signs posted AND must have filed an "authority to arrest" form on file with their local police precinct.

B. Criminal trespass in the third degree is a class 3 misdemeanor.

13-1503. Criminal trespass in the second degree; classification
A. A person commits criminal trespass in the second degree by knowingly entering or remaining unlawfully in or on any nonresidential structure or in any fenced commercial yard.
B. Criminal trespass in the second degree is a class 2 misdemeanor"

"Within the City of Phoenix, a permit is required for alarm systems monitored by an alarm company as well as those that are not. You may be subject to an assessment of $85.00 for each alarm activation that the police respond to if you do not have the required permit.

You can also be assessed if your alarm system generates excessive false alarms. If you have more than two false alarms within a consecutive 365 day period, subsequent incidents can cost you $85.00 for each false alarm."
