I was wondering if anybody here uses SOG knives while exploring. I'm thinking of getting a SOG Seal Pup which is easily concealable and could be used for cutting rope, self-defense, etc.

I plan on buying a SOG Trident as well as a SOG Powerlock soon, I hear nothing but good things about that company...
Generally I would stick to folders as cops are less likely to care about them.. if nobody ever cared about knives and I could take any one I wanted without fear of being bothered or arrested it's likely I'd carry my Ka-Bar on me more, but thats just not a good idea in this day and age (at least from a legal standpoint)..

i usually restrict myself to a multitool and a small folder for ue. i plan on getting one of sog's assisted multitools this coming month.

Is that a kind of dive knife? It's cool. Obviously better for some spots than others...but so rad.

I have a small folding knife by them i snagged for $10 but haven't seen it in ages.

Those Seal Pups are great knives but I would be worried about taking it with me while exploring. That knife could easily be seen as a weapon. I always carry my folder. A DPX Gear Hest 2.0.
