Good prices 1 year warranty on all parts and they will sell an entire car. I could have had a rollover cobalt SS for 3000$ the drivetrain was fully warantied and it only had 10 000kms on it

when i said paperwork i meant the wiring that had to be modified. and as far as insurance i dont see how swapping out a 2.4 litre and replacing it with a turbo ecotec will save insurance

spoke to the guy over at the inspection place and he said totally legal as long as it is inspected. the engine can come from a newer model year but not older

the societe de lassurance automobiles du quebec is a crown corporation in quebec that manages the no fault insurance system. they were given the power of licencing too. Its kinda strange, in quebec the 'dmv' is expected to turn a profit, oh and dont confuse the SAAQ with the SAQ, the SAQ is the quebec liquor corporation. Dont go to the SAAQ if you just made a stop at the SAQ cus on the way you may get into an accident have have to use your card issued by the RAMQ. Back in the days before the SAAQ was incorporated they were a governmental organisation and were the RAAQ or Regie de LAssurance Automobile du Quebec.
anyways thats enough of our quebec socialist history lesson

The engine coming from a newer car is the same as here. Here you can put any engine from a passenger car same year or newer into any other passenger car as long as all the smog equipment is hooked up and functional. You cant use a truck engine in a passenger car, but you can swap any truck engine same year or newer into any other truck body with smog stuff working. When you go for inspection, the smog referee checks to see if everything is working and then runs the car smog as the make and model of the car the swapped engine came from. If you pass, the smog ref gives you a door jamb plaque for swap recognition and you never have to go through inspection again, just smog.
