Ive got an '89 Comanche that I bought off a friend and turned into a daily driver and Im looking at a '88 XJ Pioneer for a couple hundred.
My MJ:
2.5L 4cy, 4spd, 2wd, 298xxx km's.
XJ I want:
4.0L 6cyl, 5spd (that shitty Peugeot tranny) 4x4 186xxx km's.
Swap out anyone?  my 4 banger is running rough but still has pantloads of power, the 4.0L and 5spd would be a nice drop-in, along with the t-case and frnt/rear axles so I can have a proper gear ratio (MJ = 4.10 and the XJ is 3.07)

I got it from him. he bought the MJ and didnt want to fix it, so I got it off him.
He drove it before he got that stupid Topaz.

I know TheOwl/JJ is banned BUT for reference, the 5 speed tranny they used in the 4.0 litre Jeeps is damn near indestructable. Clutch usage seems to be optional with those things.
