Haunting?

My grandfather passed away on September 22/2006 and I went to his funeral almost a week later. I wrote a private letter to him and put it inside of his jacket in the casket, basically telling him to look out for me and that I wished I could have been there for him more often than I was.

Anyway, we got back from the funeral on a Friday night and we were so exhausted that we immediately went to bed. I just thought I'd mention before hand, that when we were getting ready for bed, i closed all of my windows (we lived by a main street and at night, the cars are insanely loud).
I woke up in the middle of the night to hear a weird and loud flapping noise above my bed. I sat up and saw that a poster I had on my wall was actually flapping wildly off of the wall! The whole top portion was still nailed into the wall, but the bottom half was flapping off of the wall. No windows were open which rules out a breeze, and there are no drafts in our apartment either. There was no reasonable explanation for what had happened. So, being creeped out as I was, I ripped the post off the wall and threw it under my bed.
I never put that poster back up and I since then, every once in a while, I'll get a tap on my shoulder or my leg when I'm just sitting by myself and someone will knock on my living room wall (the one facing the street that is solid concrete). I'm guessing that this was a sign maybe.

both are most likely signs he is saying "i'm okay". keep a eye out for change, spirits like to leave change around as a sign, objects they liked/know you like (say a frog ornament or something)

Seeing as you're in Ontario, I'd assume it's decently cold there now and you have the heat on in your apartment. I'd say it's most likely air currents from the heating ducts/radiator in your building.

ok, I guess I didn't clarify when it happened...
This incident happened in the end of September, when the weather outside was still about 25 degrees or so, thus my heat wasn't on then. The landlord only started using heat in the end of November.
So, heat or radiators are ruled out because they have no validity for the time the incidents happened.

That's exactly what I thought. Unfortunately, haven't seen any random objects yet. Keep my eyes open for it I guess..

depending on the spirit also, you can try talking to him and asking for a sign he is there, they may move something in front of you, or later, etc.

it always varies what may happen

Pay attention to your dreams, they often come through that way.

My grandfather did,he explained that he was okay and to not be sad for him, etc. He was walking around his apartment, clear as life and it was really reassuring to hear from him.

Sorry about your loss. In my opinion, it seems like he's trying to communicate with you.

Thanks for your kind thoughts.... anyway, I do believe that his intentions were to communicate with me and since those incidents, I have heard and seen nothing more....
PS: I see you are a KISS fan. Is Gene your fave (judging by the picture)?

haha... yea, i'm not a kiss freak, but I'm definitely a big fan.... my faves are Paul and Gene... I've actually met Gene once, about 4 or 5 years ago at a book signing. I got my "kiss and makeup" book autographed and I got a picture taken with him. If I find it, I'll scan it and show you.

I had three dreams about my Dad when he died. I attributed them to stress at the time but someone pointed out that Dad may have been talking with me.

First dream, he was very sick and tired. Could hardly talk.

Second dream, he was just tired but in good health.

Third dream, he was okay but sad. We were driving around in my Nova (I was at the wheel). The car while it was old, was running fine and in pretty good shape. We talked and then I woke up. I never had those three dreams since although I've had other dreams about my Dad (mostly memories).

Gone for a while. Be back when I'm back.
