Airsoft and UE - A fun combination entry by MindHacker 5/7/2006 4:12 AM
| After playing a set of matches at an abandoned barn, complete with cars that look like they got stolen in the 70s and forgotten, we got permission to go in the abandoned house. So we wander the entire small house, ground floor to attic. It was a nice house, when it still had windows. But apparently someone had been bumming in it for a bit, tried to renovate it, or something. The electricity still ran, but the only thing that worked was the radio, though it was anachronistic to hear modern music playing. Went to one of the bedrooms, saw magazines all over the bed and thought "oh, wow, its not porn, she has a shirt on" and then, "oh. thats all." So we closed off that room and ruled it off bounds. Im glad I had gloves on. Then we played a set of attack/assault games, me on my / a friends gas pistols as my rifle jammed. Went 6?7? and 2(I was lead element). heck yes. Anyways, things to know when you play airsoft in old houses: 1) The spent rounds change the look of the place none. 2) Old glass may or may not hold up to a barrage, and may or may not begin to slowly shatter and rain down. 3) If you keep you're eyes open you may find perfect "windows" such as shooting into the attic from standing on the toilet, or, cover the 1st-2nd stairway from the attic, via uber-convenient hole.
afterwards we returned the barn when some "old" guy (50?) pulled up in a pickup and told us to leave. And he pretended to call the police. And he thought they were real guns. because a 15-22yr olds love playing around with military spec guns, which don't make any loud noises, like gunshots. And he proceeded to drive his truck all over this other guys field. We left though, to be considerate. We had permission too. jerk.
(note: I'm not in the pic, as the only pic of me doesn't really show the building, just me diving for cover.

Lol sounds like fun. You didn't really break a window though did you!? Good thing you got permission and didn't just wander in. That'd be uncool if you did.

There were 4 panes of 6 in the attic window before we began. Between the dragunov and a SAW, they all gave out. It wasn't intentional, but yeah. They destroyed that window, which was supposed to be my cover. Thankfully that was the extent of damage to the building.

As for the last location- exams owned me and I didn't have the time to get out there before i left for the summer. I may pretend to be working for the newspaper and ask to take pictures when I get back in the fall, who knows. Really, I saw the outside which was 1/2 the reason I wanted to see it, so if I miss this one, oh well.
