Hi all. I just joined today. For some reason, despite having been here for a while, I just noticed this private board. Well, that reason is, I'm not real bright. Moving on though.
I've worked at this hotel for almost two years now. I've worked third shift (11p-7a) for most of that.
I noticed a weird feeling when I went into the kitchen. You could tell there was a pressure change in there sometimes, but occasionally I'd feel incredibly sad when I'd go into the kitchen. Just overwhelming sadness. I'd be okay once I left.
Then, strange noises. Like a door shutting as soon as I walked in. I'd hear footsteps when I went out on the back dock, up and down the hallway to the dock. Lights that were on one trip were off the next.
I went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water for a guest one night. As I'm turning into the dry goods room, I hear four footsteps right behind me. I turned, no one there.
I didn't go into the kitchen alone for several weeks after that. I've heard some of the servers reporting the same kind of things, and one girl quit over it.

Ok... Next time I'm in Nashville, I'm going to make sure I'm not too tired to look around the hotel. Darn 20-hour day!
Thank you for your story, Sarabellum. The feeling of sadness seems to me to be right in line with what Lil-trouble was talking about in her thread on supernatural feelings.
And this board has only been around for a little while... Since last November or December, I think. So don't feel bad about having noticed it. After some of the discussions last Halloween, I felt it would be nice to have a place for people who believed in/allowed the possibility of/were skeptical but not vitriolically opposed to the idea of hauntings a place to hang out and talk.
