so whenever I insert the following:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C/DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" 

[url="http://www.w3.org/TR.html4/loose.dtd"]"http://www.w3.org/TR.html4/loose.dtd"[/url]>

into the top of my page, It automatically centers everything in my document....

but whenever I insert the the following:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

It leaves the page the same. What's the difference?

It's UER that adds the
[url][/url]
tag, if you hit reply with quote it won't show up... and that's the "official w3c format" according to their site....
