Those cat pictures make Ave sad.

I came across a dead raccoon once in the old streetcar garages during Doors Open.

I was walking in a drain when I lived in NYC, and I stepped in a goo. Yes that's right, a goo. We've all heard about it, even seen it, possibly even touched it. Mysterious goo. I don't know what it was, and I am reluctant to talk about it. I just didn't feel the same about my foot for weeks afterwards. The drain was near a old chemical plant, so I have a feeling it was some runoff collecting in a low spot. As soon as I stepped in it, it unleashed a smell of great magnitude.

Okay. 'Free Cat' was kinda funny. The 'half cat/dead cat (with a twist)' was pretty gruesome. If I was interested in viewing pictures of mutilated animals, I know of several sites that offer such, etc. etc. etc. I guess it was inevitable that this particular thread would include some blood and gore.

I propose that for my next thread, I will ask if any UEers have found soft cuddly kitten kisses while exploring. Let's see how many cute little bunny/kitten/puppy pictures get posted now.

CAVEMAN6666.

That is a very mysterious discovery. Reminds me of the story I once heard about a guy who dissolved the body of a murder victim in a bath tub filled with Liquid Draino. The whole corpse turned into a pudding-like ooze that washed down the drain. No bones, no teeth. All that was left was a few cavity fillings, which were then collected and then smashed. Apparently, the killer feared that the fillings might be traceable.

Don't know if it's a true stroy...probably another urban legend.

But, after seeing your picture, one never knows.

Why dont employees at abandoned buildings have the decency to clean everything up before being laid off?

Because they're too busy making sure their cheap-ass uniforms are clean, pressed and ready for the next McSlave. That and possibly because they KNOW what's inside the food that gets cooked in these things. Maybe Hazardous Waste Handling isn't on their job description.

That's in an abandoned hospital. They pretty much shut the doors and left a lot of things intact. That grease stinks big time. And this was in the winter.

Not something we found, per se, but last night I explored an abandoned power plant with two friends. This morning, when I blew my nose, it all came out black. Coal dust in the air somehow got into my nose despite the P-100 I was wearing while inside the facility. The guys I went with are having the same problem.
