Chernobyl Graffiti

A bunch of vandals from Belarus and Germany painted graffiti all over the ghost town, Pripyat. I was stunned when I saw the pictures...

If you want to know what kind of fuckheads would do such a thing, their names are:

I was going to say, "Why get all offended about the fact that its just some graffiti, its not like they destroyed the place." But I looked at the area again, and realized that its essentially a town without people. In the same condition that they left it in 19 years ago. That is a shame and those were pretty selfish graff artists.

I'm offended by the work. I appreciate talent, but I think they chose the wrong canvas.

Not a single spunking cock I notice.

For SHAME!

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

I hope they die of radiation poisoning. Chernobyl and its abandoned cities should have been left without interference for all eternity. They were effectively, graveyards, to my mind.

Factor, I could not give a shit about graffiti. I grew up with it and personally find it entertaining. But I think that calling these so-called "graff artists" selfish is mild. It's like defacing the pyramids. Their dicks must be miniscule, and their minds still smaller, to need to prove themselves by doing such a thing.

Enigma, I don't know. I only saw the pictures on the website. But the pics look real enough and I don't know when you were there.

I visit site, and found for myself that some works are not so bad... i think they put some kind of life in that place... is it bad? But in the same time i saw a very ugly works... may be it two independent groups?

It's not about if it's nice or bad. It's about graffing at Pripyiat. It's also about, consequently, making access to the area more difficult for the rest of us. From now on, I'm sure you can't leave the guide for more than 2 sec and forget about special permissions to go explore a bit ou your own. Bye bye...

Yes well done Graf. artists, you twats.

/Thinks this may be fake anyways - you are searched and suited as you enter the zone: eh, they going to let you take paint in?!?

I checked on this. No one searches and suits you when entering the zone. You can wear whatever you want. They may check your trunk if you're in a car to look for evidence of poaching and looting. But no one looks at personal bags or backpacks...though, after this stunt, they may have to start.

Who cares where their names came from? And why is it wrong to post them? You don't graff a place like Pripyat and expect to remain anonymous. And you certainly aren't entitled to righteous outrage about having your name published on the net.
