Ok, I'm going to try this to see if it is any more successful than my previous attempts to post pictures.

I can't see the pics If you want to post pictures in a thread, when you reply or create the thread theres a button at the bottom near "SpellCheck and Preview" that you can upload pictures with.

Neither can I now....looks like an issue with where the pics are being hosted.

Curious... perhaps the direct link thing doesn't work. Watson516 - I used the attach an image button on another thread, and it doesn't place the photo in the thread; rather, it gives you a link that opens a new window with the photo. If you can offer any insight as to how to upload the photos to UER and have them visible directly in the thread (or how to do the nifty mouseover trick), I'd be much obliged. Thanks, Kel

That "nifty mouseover trick" is achieved by using the "Attach an Image" button..
This reply looks like this....
[edit] I can see the pics...they are pretty good, looks like an interesting location.

Odd that my "attach an image" button photos in the other thread I started didn't do that. Any idea why? - Kel

Hey Kelwyn, I'm not sure if you got the "thumbnail mouseover" thing down yet or not but I had the same problem. Hopefully, this will help. First, you will need to resize your pictures down to under 100K. I found an easy, free download that does this. It can be found here: http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm If you already have software that does this then you're half way there! I use this one because I'm not too computer savvy. Anyway, after you have resized your pictures, click on the "Attach an Image" button at the bottom of box you write your posts in. The "AvBoard Uploader" box will come up. Then, you will need to browse to find your folder containing your resized pictures, look for the one you want to post and click "upload". After you've done that, you will see "pic=a bunch of numbers" inside square brackets. Then, click on the "SpellCheck and Preveiw" button to make sure it worked and voila!
Hope this helps!

Thats a pretty cool application you have yourself right there. I myself just use photoshop but that seems to work aswell.

I don't have Photoshop myself but those who do seem to really like it. Hey, you never know, Christmas is coming, maybe Santa will bring it for me

Does santa have a cd burner and access to bittorrent? lol

I'm not sure, but this Santa just might have it on an FTP somewhere ;)

Wicked - I tried using the method you described, but ended up with links to tiny versions of the shots... http://www.uer.ca/...4883&currpage=1&pp Any thoughts as to what I did wrong? Thanks, by the way, for helping me try to figure this out. - Kel (edit to fix link)

Hmmm, just a shot in the dark here but I'll try my best. Do you have your resized pictures stored in a separate folder on your computer or do you use something like photobucket? Again, I'm completely computer illiterate so bear with me. After I resize my pictures, I save them in a separate folder under My Documents called My Pictures. Then I just go in and upload them from there. It works for me. Anybody else have any suggestions? ***Watson515 and HauntedPA*** Which one of you two wanna come over and wave the magic wand over my computer so that I can get this PhotoShop you speak of? Just kidding, I do have a CD burner though

If you use the Attach an Image button I don't think you can use photobucket or another online host. when you upload it does it come up like... $$$SPECCODE-PIC@@@32@@@$$$ or is it something else?
