I've found quite a bit today entry by HillbillyHorus 11/6/2005 1:39 AM
| Today has been a busy day. It started with my going to UVA to check out that crawlspace. Alas, the students were too many and I didn't get a chance to go in. While I was waiting for the crowds to clear (yeah right), I wandered around the scenic grounds. I found a big grate, and I could actually see the steam tunnels, like with pipes and everything. I tried to lift it, but it was bolted down by one or two rusty little fuckers. Nothing a crowbar can't handle. I'll go back sometime at night with my dad and we can see what we can find. Then I went down to Triplex, to see that other drain upstream of Triplex. It looks like it doesn't grow, so I won't explore it for a while. I got back, and my friend came in, so we went down to Walker Upper Elementary. Not only does it have the rec center (with a playstation!), but it also has the roofs and a creek I've wanted to check out. We climbed around the roof, didn't find anything. Then we went down to the creek, and after following it for a while realized it was the same creek that ran being Greenleaf. After that, we went to a grate I'd always wondered about. I crouched down to it, and saw a 6 foot tall rectangular pipe, with no water at all. Intriguing. It was bolted, but again nothing my good crowbar can't do away with. To top it off, we went back and popped a sewer manhole to see what was down there. I posted about that though.
