Last 3 movies I saw in the theatre... An Unfinished Life With Robert Redford, Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Lopez. A character study more than a fast-paced plot, but very nicely done. Watch it for the performances, even Lopez shines here. Two For The Money Kind of like a Boiler Room for the sports gambling scene. Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey are both fun to watch doing their thing. Very good support cast including Rene Russo, Armand Assante, Jeremy Piven and the babelet Jaime King. Where The Truth Lies Even though it has major (or semi-major) Hollywood stars like Kevin Bacon, Colin Firth, Alison Lohman and Rachel Blanchard, this movie is essentially a Canadian-content exercise from arthouse director Atom Egoyan. The whole main cast bravely disrobes at various times for very explicit sex antics. The film was originally slated for an NC-17 rating in the US but rather than cut anything major out Egoyan chose to release the film without a rating at all there, which most theatres shy away from screening. Also very good recently: Lord Of War, A History Of Violence, Broken Flowers. Watch out for these on DVD: Empire Falls, Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood Of War, the Mallrats 10th Anniversary edition and Crash.
