Fredericton Tunnel System - Search for an Entrance entry by toxictoaster 9/7/2005 5:02 AM
| After talking to several locals, and doing some footwork we have found several areas of interest, that may provide us with an entrance into the FTS. After talking to a well connected local. We verified that people have been down in the Fredericton Tunnels before, but its a hard place to get into. We were advised to look along the riverfront for entrances. He knew nothing specific, only what he was told by those who were down. From our own personal exploration of the area, we have found two places that look promising.
1)The Playhouse If you are looking at the face of the building, near the back right, there is vent and a door that goes underground. The vent itself smells the exact same as the vents on campus. This confirms to me, that the campus power plant does heat the PlayHouse, as was rumored. To me this also solidifies that there must be a link between the campus tunnels and the FTS. 2)The Waterloo Access Really just a weird grate that is locked with a padlock. It looks like it was meant to allow people to go down into it. (its night folks, i had a big day, and its really hard to describe)
Baily has been doing a lot of research in libraries ect, and has come up with a lot of information. He will be making his own journal soon.

Can you add any additional information all these years later? The next decade of urban explorers has arrived. We've begun the hunt downtown as we've successfully entered the UNBTS and explored what was interesting! A better description of the waterloo access if possible? The old playhouse entrance is now the Convention Centre unfortunately.
