The Mysterous East Side (Update 1 Aug27) entry by toxictoaster 8/26/2005 11:50 PM
| Campus has been more or less explored, with only a few routes, yet throughly documented and photographed. However, the east side of campus still remains a mystery, there are three vents/entrances here, yet no known tunnel goes to these vents. To add to this, these vents, unlike any other, are locked with pad locks on the outside. This would nullify there actual supposed usage as an Emergency Exit. Whats up with the east side? Hopefully we'll find out! Here are some pics. A PadLocked Vent
Another Locked Vent
Unique entrance What lies beyond?
Example of an Emergency Exit sign (the ladder leads to a vent like the ones above)
I had an idea, after looking through various UNB records that are availiable online, there is theory that may fit the facts as to what those locked vents may actually lead to. According to these documents underneith UNB there are two large open areas. I would describe them as storage containeres, but really they are just big metal containers that are underground. This number if fuzzy, but i wouldn't be surprised if they are 30ftx30x20. I'm not sure what they are used for. But as you notice in the third pic, there are vents comming out of the ground beside the entrance, those J style vents aren't found anywhere else on campus.
