I was sorry to find out about this today. I used to be active in the UE community, and Ninj sent me a lot of support for my website and efforts. I remember one particularly amusing incident where a wannabe ripped off my website - I sent him a "dude, what the heck?" letter. Ninj was morally outraged enough for the both of us, and I thoroughly enjoyed the flaming letter he sent the site-thief. His friendship meant a lot. I don't do UE much anymore, but the support he offered on my website was invaluable. I do it for a living now. -Alexis Turner (impish) ///redheadedstepchild.org///

I know that I'm new here and haven't really set my roots down yet, but I had to say first and foremost how much I respect Ninj. I didn't get into the hobby until after he had passed away, and the more I learned about how fantastic a guy he was, the more it hurt to realize that he was no longer around. I've read the book cover to cover and scoured every link on the website, and I owe a lot to him, even though he never had anything to do with me personally. Rest in Peace, Ninj, we love you and miss you.
friggin' racists messing up my generalizations, also stealing my jobs, women. RIP, Ninj. |

In a case of better extremely late than never, I would like to add my thoughts on this post. Ninj/Jeff touched everyone who met him or his work. I am no exception. I strongly believe that he does live on in the soul of infiltration that everyone here loves so much. Missed and never forgotten. K.

i feel so out of it i used to come here under a different name, that no longer reflects who i am, and though i only did talk to ninj once or twice, from the stories i had heard from others, he seemed like an amazing individual, full of curiosity and life i don't have a lot of words, this coming some time after the fact, but my thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your friends

Beautiful Doug! Simply smashing.
I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread. |

This was sad to hear, my first exposure to UE was Infiltration. It's been said before but he really did inspire thousands of people and that's pretty incredible.

This thread should be printed up and given out for free... at least the best of it. It's a great tribute to a really nice guy. I wish you were still with us. R.I.P.

You are an inspiration to all that follow in your footsteps. Sleep well Ninjalicious, we shall all meet in a better place.

I keep finding stuff from years a go. Just thought I'd share them here. Cheers, Doug

That's pretty sweet Doug. Yeah I got all the back issues of Infil last thursday and was reading them at work yesterday, saw the Clannie one, and the draining one.

Yeah if it werent for infiltration.org i would have never found the other sites and things related to UE (or this site). His ideas gave me ideas, and i think that was what he was aiming for.
I love doing things in which others have no idea even exist, dont you? |

Just A quick question, did Ninjalicious also use the name Predator? S
If There is A Ladder Climb It, If There Is A Tunnel Walk It, If It's Derelict, Its Urbex. |

Jeff's habit of sending handwritten notes along with issues of the 'zine was one of the many reasons he was such a cool guy.

No, you're thinking of the late head of the Sydney Cave Clan.
