This news breaks my heart, as Jeff was not simply a master explorer, or a friend, but a sweet and good hearted guy, always prepared to give, help, and listen. I invited him to my birthday party at the end of August and never thought to ask why he didn't reply.

I met Jeff in 1996 or so when he and I were active with the Toronto 2600 community, and it was immediately clear we were like-minded. When my site Function was coming to life in 1997, I really looked to him for advice, as Infiltration was an obvious and personal influence on the direction. Jeff seemed to see it as an artistic take on certain aspects of the urban space, whereas we all know he approached the topic with both the curious joy of a child and the precision of an engineer.

I recall, on a grimy ladder in a room so dark I could barely see, being very clear in my mind that I deeply trusted Jeff as he led above. I had faith in both his ethics, and his good judgement, at all times.

I gave Jeff a Christmas present years back, and met Liz at that time. I won't say what that present was, but I do sadly still have one I had kept for him: a spare, discarded tile from one of the newer subway stations that was never mounted on a wall. I think I'll hang onto it now, Jeff.

The UE community has grown into something that I don't think was anticipated back then in '96, and has taken on an incredible life of its own. I know for a fact that Jeff was immensely proud of that, but in particular I want to mention that despite his role, he in no way felt his own accomplishments led the way for those who followed, but rather that UE was evolving as it should, naturally and in a most impressive manner. My own UE evolution began with Jeff, changed my life, and still influences my pursuits today (i.e. being a part of the growing Parkour scene in Toronto) ... and for this I thank him very much for everything he's done and for being part of my life.

Jeff knew something inherently, and never questioned it ... a concept with new facets I continue to explore today: the city is our terrain to interpret and enjoy, and all of it is beautiful.

Peace, my friend. It has been good, and I'll never forget you. This place, and we, all bear your mark.

T.

I never got to meet him, but I talked to him many times online... If it weren't for Ninj and Infiltration.org, I never would've given UE a second thought. A great inspiration to us all.

RIP

I was never privileged to meet Ninjalicious—I'm brand new to this hobby, after all, and he lived a far away—but through the writing and the photographs on his Web site I was inspired to sneak everywhere I've yet been, and to sneak everywhere I'll yet go. His leadership in the urban exploration community is appreciated by its every member and his memory will not fade.

This cool circle of stones wasn't built specifically for Ninjalicious, but I think he would have liked it, what with the sneakable ruin of the pier in the far distance.

NO WAY!
I just read this now, and it is very depressing
He is the first other UEer I've met and was a great guy.
I first contacted him about any info he knew about UofT. He didn't know much, but he told me what he could. Promising I'd repay him the favor if his info ever payed off. A year later and I had seen hundreds of places at the uni. I emailed him up and took him on excursion around campus, above and below ground.

He was a great guy and will be sadly missed
RIP Ninj.

I was so saddened to read this, although I hadn't yet had the opportunity to meet him myself, we all know Ninjalicious was the epitome of The Great Urban Explorer. I first stumbled across Infiltration a few years ago, and if it weren't for this absolutely lovely dedication and enthusiasm of his towards UE, I may have never started consciously doing it myself. Many happy hours upon hours upon hours have been spent exploring, not just for myself, but for my friends too and I'm sure the dozens upon dozens of other people that were inspired by Infiltrtion. Condolences to his family and friends.

I'm sorry this took so long; the other 2 of the 3 hour interview I conducted with Milky/Ninjalicious and Liz is available on archive.org. Like the other, it includes the photos I took, as well as .OGG versions of each interview.

Wow, I just heard. When I started doing this stuff in the late 1980's, I thought I was the only person in the world who dug it. When the internet came around, I was surprised to learn that many others were involved too. I always wanted to meet Ninj, just because I knew we had some common ground. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

N, now you can check out any place you desire. Peace, man.

Dan

I was not expecting this when I signed in tonight... I've had many, many good times reading Infiltration, and I clearly remember when I got my first issue many moons ago, and because of that I learned how many other people are into ue. Wow, this is just completely shocking. My condolences to his family and friends.
