What's with drivers? entry by Viper 8/10/2005 7:08 PM
| Why don't people take responsibility for themselves while driving? The other day I honked at a driver for going straight through a 'right turn only' intersection in my direction, and he gives me the finger. Now not only was he 100% in the wrong and could have caused an accident if I had turned in front of him expecting him to turn right, but he can't even take responsiblity for it. Of course I told him he was going the wrong direction as he drove past me, but don't give somebody the finger or yell at someone for honking at you when you do something stupid. [/rant]

Again I ask, what is wrong with people? Driving earlier today I was stopped waiting to merge into a lane to my left at a 'Y' intersection. But some dumb lady with a new driver sticker cuts around me as I start merging forcing me to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting her. Of course I honk, and as she passed me further along the road she honks back at me and gives me the finger! If I was just a little more pissed off than I already was I probably would have done something stupid. I just cooled off and let her be smug and safe in her little west side, yoga practicing, blonde, new driver world. You'd think in today's crazy world you would avoid giving somebody the finger, especially when you are a girl and you and your car are half the size of somebody else's. Let's all take some responsibility for ourselves people!
