My Trek 800 Sport is my main workhorse for everyday operations. I ride this bike on a 10 mile round trip to work 5-6 days a week. Go to the store, go see friends, go to the gym. On average, I put about 15-30 miles a day into my bike. I used to have a car, but got rid of it due to constant mechanical/electrical/quantum? failures. And I while I had, I wasn't really all that dependent on it either. Cool thing about bicycles in general is the fact that parking is the least of your worries.

i ride to work/school on any of my several fixies. i also have a Giant STP for when i want to ride trials/street. then theres the track bike, it's useful because we have a velodrome pretty close to our house. the road bike is a Giant TCR Advanced Team Edition. Id also like to get a mountain bike soon, definitely thinking about the Trance 2 (or the carbon trance advanced). the only other one ive got is my tall bike, and thats about as close to a cruiser as im willing to go. so mainly, i hammer on the roads.

I use my trek mainly for transportation. Home to work, then work to home. I like offroad (trails, forest and so on) too, and one of my friend just introduced me to freeride. I'm slowly getting into it. I need a helmet now.

I use my various bikes for commuting, road biking, XC mountain biking, and a little dirtjumping and freeride stuff here and there. I'm also working on a few freakbikes (a tallbike and a mountain bike with a permanently mounted sidecar, just for fun ) Current stable includes a mix of road bikes, commuter/grocery getter bikes, XC mountain bikes, singlespeed mountain bikes, a DH/freeride mountain bikes, with a fixie road bike in the works.. Bicycling is a lifestyle/culture to my family and I, as it should be! I probably have too many bikes, but I am a firm believer that is not possible

Oh, and forgot to add to my previous post, been riding since about 5-6ish, and have never taken a break, only for ski season!

Heh, I rode through the winter in Thunder Bay (ON) - Nokia studded tires. It's sweet riding through fresh powder. Did a 96 km ride today, Bloor West to Innisfil - 3.5 hrs (480' elevation gain - the ride back should be faster!).

Urban biking, mostly. For me that includes gravel and paved trails and streets. I'd like to do a bit of downhill riding, I think the rig I've got now could take it. It's a Cannondale M500, which I think is fairly bulletproof, and in theory the singlespeed conversion wouldn't make as much of a difference in DH. I have the tendency to cut across curbs, parking lots, and whatever else is in my way when out in the city. The Canny's good for that too.
