It was my pleasure to meet you too KublaKahn. I enjoyed the screening very much. Congratulations on a sold out house! Please consider another showing. Next time we need a better sound system. Thanks for your efforts. Tom

Posted by Nikita What year is it in Victoria? Come on, this is weak this thread is gonna be six months old in four days. I would like to see real pics and info on the actual tunnels. This conversation seems better suited to www.unsolvedmysteries.com right alongside El Chupicabra and Bigfoot. Pics and info please.

I think people have been inspired by your movie, KK; I swear I heard the distinctive sound of a falling manhole on View Street on Wednesday morning at about 4:45am! ...the very morning after the initial screening. Hmmmm....

im thinking that movie is a half waste of time publicly there too make money off of.
plain & simple
that would be me in the manhole while you all go too a fucking movie when tunnels are right under where you sat too watch that. if i took the damned time too even go out in the pissing rain for a bitch ass 20 mins. however clearly someone wasnt pleased enough so they probably did go in if u did hear that that is.. but i must add me & a couple of my ''com padres'' just about went, in a specific area ,the day b4 that showing. i figure lots of hippie like 30 yr old intelligent people came to that maybe wrong apologize for my judgment to those inflicted by my stating just for respect though do what makes you feel happy is the motto but i would also assume lots of point dexter homos or wannabe satanic Goths of some sort also singleing out styles of people is not what i try too determine anywho is this movie CREATED by the INFAMOUS kublakahn in this forum? i mean I've debated going & I'm sure there is quite the many tips of whatever explained about the tunnels in the film festival but I've decided not too because of a weak ass wager that seems to me & feels like some tourist attraction of exploiting
but lately I've heard trippy stuff on another note: dealing with all the way too Nanaimo from rock bay & tied more & more together with other interests too most of these mainstream ''explorers'' lets take shit too extent where it hits the fan down there is what drift i'm trying too send anyway soon i will be in them & see for myself along with : who i can trust who is willing with me & who is willing to help me on circumstance of any sort some people are half ass & bitch for life remember that & people LIE for their benefit don't have them confuse you in that manner no way by INSTINCT whatever i mentioned on here has been instantly corrected by ignorance in some sort of protection I've lived here all my life & I'm not too bullshit about this place for no reason nor too hold knowledge too myself for my own thought of benefit even ESPECIALLY whereas some is to come ,shut me up, dog down, on how i express about certain situation & try 2 relate. in person its different most times varies on the vibe you give out that is probably what effects thought about what i talk about or probably makes a madness boil up inside because of what i have been told
|
|
who was it that said i should meet a somebody?? & um actually get in there? cause i am going soon but whatever that was all about in the past pages relating too me going down there
the key thing is i don't know simply who the fuck you were talking about or what
i knew what you were getting at but you mentioned a name & i don't know how to get hold of them in particular if i were to be able too or what not
fill me in bare with me if I'm a troubled typer or my typing is just simply trouble

Well.....how'd it go?? Wish i coulda been there to see it!!
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |

I was at the screening tonight and enjoyed the film. I wasn't a huge fan of the venue, or the films that showed before it...but other than that, my only complaint was that the film could have been longer. I've only been in Victoria for a few months, but so far it's been a pretty fun city to explore...it's really nice to see something like this being produced locally!

I liked this screening better than the first because I wasn't a mad-freak nervous zoink. I sat back and enjoyed all the other great short films. That's my greatest thrill from the double screening: I got to watch some really good film work, and my short doc was part of the experience.

My wife and I were there...we were glad to make the second screening and showed up ridiculously early in order to ensure we got tickets. We sat in the middle about three rows back. We had a prior engagement right after the showing, but it would have been nice to stay around and meet some of the gang. It would have been funny, since not knowing what any of y'all look like (and we left before any of the "I'll be wearing this" e-mails) we would have had to ask around surreptitiously, "Excuse me, are you J Peterman? Pardon me, could you tell me where I might find KK?" Anyway... I really liked the movie. The venue could have been quite a bit better - especially the sound. I could not hear a lot of the monologue. KK, is there a chance you might have a written transcript in an e-format that you would send me? My wife and I would be most appreciative. My favourite insight was the one about future decades looking to apologize to and attempt to recompense today's homeless people...just as we attempt with the Chinese and Natives today. I wonder, though, how a homeless person now might ever be able to prove in a few years that they were 1) homeless now, and 2) discriminated against? It doesn't seem as "easy" as, "Look at me, I'm Native, or Chinese and I live in Canada." Anyway...excellent doc, KK. Congrats! Yoshkow

Immediately after the screening, I turned to the guy in the projector booth and said, "Um...it could probably use a better sound mix." And he agreed. When I was mixing sound, I was doing in a small editing suite, and with headphones. So I'll get that sorted out soon. As for the venue itself, I thought Plan B was very good. And the bartender and I seemed to understand each other well. Thanks to everyone who made the screening a success.

99/1958/1966 These numbers signify something important. It wasn't that long ago this thread was edging towards 1000 posts. And now... Amazing. A recent look at certain archival photos revealed something I had missed before. That building now torn down, on Wharf street, above the famous bricked over entrance, was owned by... The Bay. The logic or possibility they had a tunnel to bring the pelts and World Famous Rainbow Blankies from the S.S. Beaver (or similar vessel) to the store, via a tunnel seems very dam likely. Therefore, I highly suspect the previous allusions to tunnels from the Bay building to the harbor are true. And various side tunnels perhaps? We already know there is a very old conduit further out of town, that covers a longer distance, and although built (primarily?) for the transport of excess water, exists. So why not a shorter one from the Bay to the Inner Harbor? I believe there will be a significant discovery before the end of the summer.
