Posted by Artemis I know this is off topic, but....There is a sk8te park that I blasted on as a kid... Near it there are some heritage Rail-Road buildings in which were used in the early years of Victoria... I've been in there before in 2004''.. These days I drive past them, the doors look pretty loose ;D ;D ..

Better do it quick, they're moving in right now.

Not so secret tunnels in Victoria. Government tunnels under the Legislature:

Posted by htp123 I've been digging. I'll keep it short. I enjoyed the mystery and would like others to have the same chance. Thanks to everyone that's helped me, directly or indirectly, especially J-VIC and brandon and the crew that originally found this. Sorry for the gratuitous pictures, but this place is awesome and I thought it deserves a few high(er) res shots on here.

That was truly an amazing adventure! I couldn't of asked for a better team on finding this (Brandon250 and Htp123). Htp123 you are one hell of a researcher/explorer and it wouldnt of been possible without your hard work and dedication. Finally the months of work we put into finding and planning this payed off and we got to see this masterpiece first hand.

^Awesome, impressive.

I'd fuck her.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! | |
i want to get in on this. i have lived back and forth from victoria to the interior and the gulfs, and blah blah etc. i was into this thread in 2012, and again recently in 2015, i walked around, did some poking here and there, but today i have been on this thread for about 14 hours, and cant stop reading it. there is lots of funny and informative material. im coming into the city tuesday to troll around and see what i can now go check out due to the vast amounts of information, if your around tanuki it would be sweet to get into some of these tunnels you've wandered into. brandon250 htp123 you guy i would love to be able to meet up and check this shit out. if there is any bites on this post im down any time. im not some kid either, im a genuine guy just seeking un answered questions and love the mystery that these tunnels tell. hope this thread will pick up again.

I'm not sure what questions you hope to get answered, but unless they involve a better understanding of city infrastructure, you're probably looking in the wrong place. That said, I suggest you find some of the easier spots around town on your own and post something a bit juicer first. People are more likely to bite, and no one will mind a few more Hall of Wonder posts. You don't need a crew to get into most places, just a good reading of this thread and some gumboots. Let us know if you find anything cool.

Good day friends! It has been awhile since I've been on the Forum! I hope everyone is well! Welcome wcphouse. I'm sure you are aware, it does take a lot of homework, and trust before you can start exploring these beautiful, and amazing historical locations. Hundreds of hours myself, I love the Halls of Wonders, such beautiful art / graffiti. Also, the Mcneil Creeper had some really cool brickwork as well! Do your homework, the darkie was my first, then The halls, pretty easy locations to find! as well, don't go underground unless you are fully aware of the outcomes because bad situations are always around the corner if otherwise. Good Luck! I wish you the best!

Wow, those pictures are amazing, kind of a full circle thing with regards to the originators of this thread. I have not posted for quite some time but I have still been reading and researching-though I've yet to find a good accomplice to go exploring with and I would rather not go it alone. Maybe one of you kind adventurers will take me under your wing. I've wondered if this tunnel simply was naturally occurring? According to posts waaaaaaay back in this thread A Lein KK and Tanuki first discovered this place. I am so curious as to what it could've possible been used for? Does it date back to Robert Dunsmuir? I know he was legendary in the coal mining business and certainly would've had the means to make many a tunnel under Victoria should he have chosen to....but I'm even more curious about the retaining wall. How the hell do you get the material down there to build it and why? I remember the original team mentioned this tunnel is about 3km long, I've no idea of its location but that could basically run the length of most of the entire city. There's just so many why's left. Anyway, its amazing to see a second team has discovered this tunnel which it is also my obsession to reach one day.

Nope, it's entirely unnatural. The rusted iron bar in one of the pictures is part of an old drill.
Posted by Petrj Does it date back to Robert Dunsmuir?
|
One of the earlier posts suggests a construction date. I'm happy to check out drains with people. It sounds like you know about a couple already, feel free to hit me up if you haven't done those.

Haha I hear ya. those why's are exactly what drove us to find it for ourselves but I wouldn't feel comfortable revealing any info on it, for that you should talk to the original team. As for the drains J-vic and I have been wanting to go back underground for a while now so maybe we can all meet up and check something out. P.s htp message us anytime you want to go out!

My first good find of the season. It took a bit, but it was worth the effort. OK, so this isn't in Victoria, but it's within the area and it's not a drain, so I figured I'd give this thread another kick. It's several kilometres long and roughly 3m tall. Sorry, but I'm not going to say anything more. Please don't ask.

Wow nice find man!

Nice. I'll ask anyway- does that tube have any features, or is it a straight shot?
