Here's a new idea.
Just wondering..........who here has anybody looked at the maps of the sanitary sewers?
I have to say, they are actually quite interesting. And with Victoria's new sewage treatment scheme, they could potentially spiced up a bit. While they aren't nearly as extensive or walkable as the drains, they are full of interesting machinery, and with some hardcore sewer-safety training (aka become a sewer worker), they could be worth a look.

I find it somewhat interesting that the moderater (KublaKhan) has a satanic mark as his avatar but yet has nothing to say about a single one of my posts....
WHy is this? I always had a feeling that someone within the satanic community was watching the discussions on this board.... perhaps its like the old saying goes.

Un-sanitary sewers would be the correct word. But they just sound so fascinating...........i hear some hardcore explorers go in them regularly in other cities......talk about being the Lords of Filth.

Hello,
This is my first post. I can't believe I've lived in Victoria my whole life and never explored the underside!
While I was waiting to post I hit up some of the local drains and obsessively read this thread. I ran into an otter at Haultain but no time for a picture. He vanished up a small RCP.
Here is more of the same old stuff...
The last one is a Raleigh folding bicycle I found at the south entrance for the Hall of Wonders.
While I was downtown checking out an entrance to a brick drain I noticed that someone had taken the time to bore a hole into a certain rock wall. I had a tape measure handy and the hole was 2 feet deep. Someone has been busy!
Here are some pics of the inside. It measures about 4.5 inches on a side.
Does anyone know about this? It looked like the hole was almost through to the other side. I'm going back tomorrow with a poking device to probe inside.

I've been wondering about the uplands unsanitary sewer system. Since it overflows into the storm drains maybe it's passable? The pipes are supposedly wooden like the Darkie.

I honestly don't understand the whole 'wading through other people's shit' thing, re: draining. Uplands people are generally wealthy, so maybe their shit isn't as rank as the shit in say Rock Bay. But who knows? It's all shit.
