Ninja (and anyone else), you can get Tetanus and Hep A&B vaccinations through the island travel & vaccination center (http://www.tmvc.com/) if you're really worried. I got them before I went travelling and its relatively cheap. Although, you're probably old/young enough to have gotten them in grade 9 and I think theres a 10 yr life on it.

Be very grateful for these images. They had a price tag attached. I know....the space turned out not to be a pentagon, but it still is interesting.

Looks smaller in the photos than it really was.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Or Saw 2!

Hey... That 'cistern' looks like the needle pit from Saw 2. NK, is there something you're not telling us?

Who is Vic and is he aware that you plan on being in him this weekend?

Don't deny our love KK. And don't deny our pet names "Vicky". I think the red dress and high heels would look good on you this weekend. No panties please.

I got to have a few hours to explore downtown by myself when I was on my recent business trip. Some of the pictures I took give me some questions.

Does anybody know any story about why the side of the second floor of the Janion is patched up?

Then there's the neat cubbyhole place I found near the Legislature. It looks like something may have been behind that wooden panel or behind whatever was bricked/concreted off at some point. Has anyone had a closer look at this space than the quick snap I got of it?

Used to be a door. Now it's a wall. Compare your image with one of the archive images.

I think it's where they hide their cubbies.

My thanks to you SSI Girl. A very enjoyable visit. Your stories are amazing and great to see the old abandoned homestead. Definitely some flashbacks and Deja Vu from when I lived on the island.

Any time you guys want the tour, give me a shout! And next time I'll take more time off and plan some adventures! Thanks A. Lien nice to meet like minded people, (big kids grown up that like to play adventure!) Great pics too, amazing those trees that the sap suckers took out! Can't wait to get into that attic too with the pagan symbol on the window. I'm going to try that set of keys tomorrow... it's not breaking in if there are keys right there, right?

It was probably used for something electrical. The holes on the side would be where the wires were originally pulled through. The crosshatch pattern on the manhole cover is also usually associated with traffic signals, but that might be different out in Victoria.

I'm still on Saltspring for today, spent most of the weekend on Mt Bruce, playing with radios and sheep. I even found a sheep skull with horns!!!! My car is dying, so i'll be driving up Vancouver island to Comox, then across to home today. Sorry i couldn't get to Victoria, next time i'll take the train....hopefully very soon.
