Saturday night ...

| My first real infiltration experiance. We were a fresh crew, getting into it, with the help of Greykat, Gatsby, Jade and ofberenonehand. The entry was tricky, well lit and somewhat populated [being in the middle of high-buck loft-condos and all]. A quick climb, some shadows and a cop sighting and we were on a panicked run to the basement, toward our alternative route out. Unfortunatly, this mission, like many was a picture run, and camera equipment as a rule doesn't like water. We opted not to bail right away through 6' of water, and decided to explore while Gatsby recon'ed. We went floor by floor, taking pictures and checking out this ladder and this little hatch. Tension was rising as we were forced to think about the activity floors and floors below us. Down there cops were roving and a white maintainence truck sat like hunters in a duck blind waiting to snag us. Adding to the tension was Evanstar's worrying about her mother and friends and being late for drunk-patrol from the casino. Better in troulbe with the 'rents than the law though. Around 3:00 am we were in constant contact with Gatsby, our man outside, and it was looking grim. Funny thing is that the whole time I had confidence in our groups and our luck that we'd get out of there unscaved. That sounds like a tough guy line from a movie or something but it's the truth. As it got later and the drunks started appearing on the streets of Minneapolis, keeping the heat off of us a little [or so we thought] we decended down the missing-step stair cases of the building until we approached our entry point. After a little scouting by the male members of the experianced crew, and some calls to and from Gatsby, the coast was determined to be as clear as it was going to get, and we were ready to make the mad dash toward unacousted freedom. Apparently our exit out of an unfamiliar door was right on the mark, as Gatsby later said we missed two patrols on two sides of the building by less than a minute a piece in either direction. Our timing was impecible. After hopping the fence and walking casually away while bidding farewell to our intrepid leaders, we discovered that Gatsby got our triumphent escape on video tape. I can't wait to see that footage! We headed back to our vehicle and smiled our faces off on the way home, no longer virgins of the UE world. Truely an amazing night!

Yeah wait till hes off exploring a certain tunnel system we know someday. Ill be there in the shadows by the cable vault. Just like with Shooter!
