fuck long distance relationships. it seems like a kind of forced non intimacy safety net that some people tend to gravitate toward.

So what's the alternative? Celibacy and a lack of companionship?

What if you can't find someone where you stop? I'm not paying for a online dating service.

hasn't happened. luckily, as a chick, i can make my own fun. actually, in north carolina i consistently wasn't given even a sideways glance. single chick walking into a bar to play darts and drink gin by herself, doesn't even get a hello. to north carolina guys, i just wasn't on the radar. match.com delivers and it's only 30/month. i say cheap for a connecting/weeding out service.

What about the long distance relationship where you're both living under the same fucking roof?

Long distance sucks. I can say from experience that if it starts from a long distance and stays that way it probably won't work. Been there done that from 2,000 miles. Got some frequent flyer miles and a broken heart. I was lucky and came out with a great friend though.
A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind. |

30 miles is nothing. sorry dude, But like that's only a half hour drive.

You dont gotta tell me... I met the most amazing man when i was 17, he lived far back then (We both didnt have cars) we broke up, lost touch for a few years, started talking again.... where does he live now you ask? Kentucky...wtf broke up again cuz well obviously we just did the best we could with the time we had... some time passed before I met anyone else worth more than 3 weeks of my time... Now Im dating the most awesome, sweet, funny guy.... and he lives an hour and a half away. Given, not as bad as kentucky but its not making things easy. If you see each other twice a week, it can work. A lot of my past relationships involved seeing each other TOO much.... the flame burns out too fast.

Its funny that 2 years ago I said I would not consider one. The last girl I dated lived in the Washington DC suburbs, and I live in the NYC suburbs. The one before that in Delaware... Its like there are no nice girls in NY.
