| Ok so, Chirpa had to have ass surgery as some of you know. There was a lump under her skin, also one on her side. We booked her for an appointment at the vet to get her all fixed up.
This is Chirpa before. You can see the big ol' lump on her butt. (That's also Pabloo trying to get in the shot.)
After we picked her up from the vet she had just woken up from the anesthesia and she was pretty groggy. The vet's assistant brought her out wrapped up in a towel. One lady who was there with her dog inched up closer so she could see, probably thinking it was a cute little kitten or something because when they pulled the towel back to reveal a mangled bloody half-shaved rat she sort of recoiled in horror. Heh heh. Sucker.
We have to give her syringes of pain medication every day, but she seems to be doing alright. This is what she looks like now.
It's kinda hard to see, but her side and her ass are both shaved and she has large incisions on both.
