I have been thinking about getting my nipples done and I have a few questions. How much is it? How much does it hurt? Are they hard to care for? I may have more questions but I can't think right now

They should be pretty cheap. Maybe $40-$50 each, but that's just a guess. They should also be pretty easy to care for, because they are easy to clean and will heal quickly. Not sure about pain though...I'm not female nor have I ever had my nipples done. The only thing that is a little weird about nipple piercings is occasionally they will stay permanently erect after piercing. Usually not both though, so you may end up with one hard nipple all the time.

I actually have a question about nipple piercings. I want to get one myself maybe next year or when im 17 or something. Let's say I decide to have a kid one day... would that effect my piercing because of breastfeeding. I know I can take it out, but wouldn't it irritate the piercing?

This is a question I wonder about since a very long time. Piercing and breast implants effects on breastfeeding. I won't matter much to me in my case (I am a male), but this concern interests me a lot.

It will get in the way of breast feeding, but you're young! Don't have a kid for a long time! Seriously though, I have a pair of nipple rings and it was a little painful but as long as its not the areola it won't be too bad. I do have to say though that its been said that women get are very slightly at risk for breast cancer when they get their nipples done. Its like smoking, its a chance you have to choose to take except smoking is much worse. Nipples aren't that hard to care for. Mine were fully healed in 2 months. Just keep them clean and you're fine. No mosh pits though, that was my big mistake 2 days after I got pierced.

They will ruin the nipple, it will effect breast feeding....

I really don't believe that piercings can cause cancer..

Genetics cause brest cancer, not pericings.

I could see what ammounts to an ongoing injury (your body is always trying to reject the piercing and heal the area) could result in slightly higher risk of cancer. You are multiplying more cells and your body is working extra hard in the area. On top of that you are putting outside materials in your body. Of course this is all speculation. I would also guess that the increased risk is very small compared to most things known to increase the risk of cancer.

And the cancereous products, such as blue asbestos?
|

I am not a cancer expert, but if they say a underwire bra does not cause cancer than I doubt a small bar in your nipple will. If your body is working that hard and rejecting the peircing that would happen and you would need to take it out long before the cancer thing is an issue....

How can it ruin the nipple?

I think stretching it a lot or a bad piercing could effect things later on if it developed large ammounts of scar tissue. I think a small, professional piercing should prevent no problems. If nipples just had a little ole or something it would be different, but they work through kind of capilary action so one hole through it shouldn't make much of a difference. Unless of course by ruin she meant ruin the natural super kick ass awesomeness of nipples, in which case, it's all a matter of opinion

I have no clue how to explain it. I have been thinking about it all day. God that sounds weird, but I can't think of a way to explain it...

I'm sorry, but how are these related? One is a wire that rests under the breast, the other is a piece of metal that goes through a part of your body. I don't see a connection.

Oh I said that cause a few years ago there was a rumor that underwire bras increased your risk of cancer and it proved to be false ofcours....

OH ok, that makes a bit more sense..... I was so very confused.

Well taz, i'm not too sure about the price but i can always ask my sister about that. The piercing its self doesn't hurt that much but afterwards it will for a while. As for care it very easy to take care of, probably one of the easiest ones to care for. I don't have one but i've asked other people with one.
