I'm thinking the best way to do this is by thread with your state/province/whatever. So...I live in albany right now, but in three weeks i'm moving back to poughkeepsie. I can prolly house a few people who don't mind sleeping on the floor. What's nearby? Millbrook - Old girls school Wingdale - Asylum Poughkeepsie - Asylum South Fallsburg - Pines Hotel Beacon - some nice old mills
Along with lots of not as large as these abandonments. PM with q's.

I like your idea and I suggest everyone to use it.

After February 1st, 2005 I will have a place available in Buffalo, NY with plenty of (carpeted) floor space. As I stated in the thread that started this board off, though, I travel a lot for work (and my schedule is sometimes crazy) so I'd appreciate as much notice as you can give. -- Mat

all this talk of floor space is perfect. with a good sleeping bag or one of those air mattress jammies, the radius of exploring options sure does lengthen. and the obligations on the hosts is minimal, as it should.

As I am moving out of the apartment mentioned above, I must unfortunately rescind my earlier offer of floor space to fellow explorers. I'll chime in if my new place has enough space. -- Mat

Hey guys. I'm going to be in Buffalo, and just need a couch or other sleeping tool from about 11:30pm Wednesday to 6am Thursday. If you can help me out, that would be fantastic. Please email or PM me with info.

Hey, my cousin-in-law is going to be in NY city anytime now for a few days, she doesn't need a place to sleep, but I'm trying to find an ethical nice explorer that might be willing to show her a site or two while she's there. She's a Newb though...
