Exploring Ashes; 1 yr later

I explored this horn factory a while ago, before it burnt down, the building today has been paid to be demolished; it has been looted and destroyed by people who noticed the site was abandoned.

The halls were filled with much more graffiti, I'd brought a better camera this time to get some crispier shots

The building had been flooding with this orange rust water, running off from the neighboring building. In some places it was an inch deep.

Somewhere along the way I'd met a few other explorers.
The door to the building claims to be using 'security' and 'monitoring the site' which does not hold up, in my opinion.

The almighty strength of the concrete bathroom. One thing that sticks out to me is that, during fires steel gets stripped of any protective paint, plating, or oil coating, and all of it becomes rusty.

This part of the building had some reinforced concrete structure to it, and held up during the fire, venting out heat. I'd climb up here and end up in plain sight of the surrounding area

The fire was pretty hot, especially on the second floor, where the steel folded inward. Some sections of the floor are still there, however the roof has disappeared.

Nobody knows how the fire happened, the city does not seem to care about the site, and there does not seem to be a reason to leave the place standing for another year

Amazing shots on the factory, at least you visited before it was burned down to the ground. It's a huge shame people would set fire to this place they make it worse for the rest of that enjoy beauty in abandoned buildings.
