I just wanted to share this... it's something I have never seen until now, never considered until now... Nissan and their variable compression 3-cylinder in the Nissan Rogue. Other than being a crap car, did you ever expect to see a variable compression engine in your lifetime? And the system it uses is just peculiar... it's an eliptic assembly that raises or lowers the crankshaft, while rotating. According the guy doing the teardown, it varies the compression ratio from 8:1 to 14:1... Nissan and their weird engineering.
