Not too much to be said about the place. It's not very private nor hard to access. The highlight for me was the old stove and the wallpaper. After a little research, it seems it could have been used for mining but there's no hard evidence. Doesn't seem to me like miners would be too enamored with the wallpaper, but you never know. There are old homesteads nearby from the late 19th century, which might lend to the idea that it was more of a family home.

Try checking the USGS mineral resource/mine feature survey maps around it to see if there's a mine nearby. That would probably settle the question of farmsteader or miner.
