Found an office building in a bit of a state, outside was a bit overgrown, and it had a bunch of cool architecture. Originally only planned to shoot the exterior, but—uh—life finds a way? First few rooms were clearly a den of some sort, long busted/abandoned, but still full of the expected detritus. Had a tour guide in a friendly squatter passing through. He supposedly had gone through those first few rooms and 'dealt with'(pocketed?) all of the drugs and stuff. Apparently previous tenants—after it shut down—had a gig of covering mushrooms in melted chocolate, lots of misc. bars of the stuff on most flat surfaces. Utilities and everything still worked, but most of the untouched rooms were under demolition, as evidenced by the debris and spray painted marks. Whole place was carpeted in dead Miller moths—slightly crisp underfoot.
//It had climbing plants everywhere, and most exterior places were slightly trashed.
//A particularly funny warning on the wall, right after entering the former den. Still full of an absurd assortment of garbage; I'm talking a single dress shoe, a skateboard, a Chinese scroll, small tools, and who knows what else(I wasn't too inclined to dig around for any other highlights).
//Of course, you have to have at least one Dilbert comic in any self-respecting office.
//All of the whiteboards still had old personal touches on them, a personal favorite was a poll on Shrek 1 vs. Shrek 2. The winner should be obvious.
//The breakrooms and main spaces all had covid stuff up: "6ft apart" stickers, foot-based door pulls, masking signs; it was unsettling to think how recently this place had to have closed, and how quickly it all went to trash.
I have plenty of other pics, just none of them are edited/resized.
I’d love to claim jester’s privilege; but to do so requires one to be funny. | |

Checked this out recently, still easy to access. It had a fire but hasn't burnt down. All the copper was been stripped out by now, there's some broken glass and holes in the drywall. Fortunately not too much trash so far. The outside area is really beautiful especially. Second time I went there were some people in the building using. They were friendly enough, a little off putting but they didn't pose a threat. Point being this building is occupied from time to time, though not permanently.
