Longtime member LostInPa passed away this month at 36. https://memorials....blanchard/5186919/ Christopher Friel Blanchard, 36 passed away unexpectedly, at his home in Camp Hill on Tuesday May 2, 2023. Born January 30, 1987, in York, Chris was raised in Camp Hill by his mother Deborah Friel and his step-father John Friel, along with his father Dennis Blanchard of Dover, PA. Chris graduated from Camp Hill High School in 2005. Chris had a passion for live music, camping and spending time with friends and family. A competitive BMX racer as a youth turned into a lifetime love of motorcycles, four wheelers and anything with an engine, quite frankly. He also had a dual passion of photography and urban exploration that spanned over twenty years. He traveled the east coast extensively touring and photographing a wide range of abandoned man-made structures that included amusement parks, prisons, schools, sanatoriums, hospitals, asylums, and factories. Chris was a very very kind and caring son, grandson, brother, and friend to so many and has tragically left us far far too soon. He will be deeply missed as we all love him so much. In addition to his parents Chris is survived by his grandmother Theresa Reilly, his sister Jennifer, his brother John, and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. The funeral service will follow at 12 Noon on Monday, May 8, 2023, in the funeral home. (fixed date)

really wow sorry to hear this!!
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah | |
He and his family are in my prayers.

I never met him face to face, but we have been in each other's virtual orbit for over a decade. I will mourn him.

Such a shame. Caught me off guard when I heard it. We should have a coal fest in his honor and shoot things.

So sorry to learn of his passing. Deepest condolences to his friends & family

always a loss when one of our own passes. i had the pleasure of meeting him a few times over the years, mostly when I lived down in the Philly area and at a few meetups, and talked to him a bunch over the years. he was a good dude, funny as hell too

Thanks. Just thought it would be nice to remember the explorers no longer with us. I'll update it.
