i saw this on Malaise Motors on facebook last night... it's super clean, but the price tag is breathtaking. I can remember when you could pick up a car this old for under a $1000... now "it's old so it's worth $$$!" and you damn well this guy got it cheap cheap cheap from an estate sale.
Still, this is something I would drive.

no, but it it had been a Cadillac Seville, well, that piques my interest. A friend of mine and I have been wanting to do an LS1/6spd manual swap on one of those cars (basically, the Seville shares the same platform as the Nova...)
anyways, why in the fuck did you buy a 79 Caddy? that's out of character for you.

The thought of someone scrapping that gorgeous Caddy is horrifying.
It's not exactly up my alley (said the Oldsmobile owner) but the color alone makes it worth the purchase.
