I agree. Given it's location, I thought it would have been covered in graffiti but there was only a small bit on one side. There's an almost identical school on Hwy 89 that is basically hanging on by a thread but I'm not sure of the year. I've driven by it a few times and have seen older photos of it on Flickr..... it's really deteriorated in the last 5 to 10 years. It would be nice if someone bought this one up as they could make a beautiful family home. Thanks for looking

Yes I definitely would consider purchasing a building with as much historical value in it as this one. Hopefully this building doesnt become a placement for housing subdivisions. Always loving the older places, theres nothing like it anymore.

#6 is such a fantastic visual--I can't make heads or tails of it. At first, I thought I was looking at the most massive flooring moisture upheaval ever. But it's just too high. Then I thought it was ceiling material collapsing down onto things on the main floor. But it seems to thick. Finally I have just given up on figuring it out and am instead admiring the delectable mess.

What I think happened here was years of people dumping their junk on the original floor, which created the height. From there, the ceiling let go covering most of it and then people continued to dump on top. It would be interesting to see what it looks like under the top layer of debris. Due to it's remoteness, one could probably spend hours there investigating but my fingers where completely frozen stiff after just 30 minutes so I tapped out. I will definitely be going back in the spring if anyone is interested in joining. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment. I don't want to say never but right now, I don't think it's at risk of being eaten up by a developer based on the location. I think it would be perfect for a couple of working professionals who have the option to work from home. But you would have to enjoy remote living. I almost sounded like an R/E agent there

Cool spot. I visited a couple of months ago. I missed that old furnace in the basement. Very nice.

The furnace is impressive for sure. I was also impressed with the amount of stuffed animals. My little one would have wanted to take every one of them home.

The funny thing is later in the day, I was visiting a farm and stepped on a nail. Obviously, I didn't have steel toe boots on because that would have been the smart thing to do. I was able to walk on it all day with minimal pain but my foot exploded once I took off my shoe and it hit the warmth of my house. It feels like two steps forwards and sixteen steps back lately.

If I remember correctly it had previously been turned into a home. That huge pile of wreckage on the one side of the main room is a collapsed loft, and there was a kitchen area underneath. Furniture and cabinets as well. Super cool man!
You always find something if you look, it's just not always quite what you were looking for |

These are solid pictures. I enjoy that van one. That furnace is so cool. Such a shame that time and vandals have destroyed some of this place. Real cool house. You can have it for 1 million dollars haha.
I'm a supporter of gay rights. & not a closet supporter either. From the time I was a kid, I've never been able to understand attacks upon the gay community. There are so many qualities that make up a human being. By the time I get through with all the things that I really admire about people, what they do with their private parts is probably so low on the list that it is irrelevant. - Paul Newman |
