Heard about the iconic Coca-Cola billboard getting taken down this week, so I went up last night to get some shots. Never got the chance to go when it was still wired with lights, but this is enough to satisfy.
Sign’s has been here since 1937, and had just been taken down today.

Very cool that you got to check this out before it was gone. I worked for a friend of mine's sign company years ago and I always thought it was a shame that we tore down more old neon then we ever restored or repaired. Relics like this are cool to see and sad to be gone.

yeahh in 2009 they replaced the sign with an LED version to be more energy efficient, but i guess that didn't last too long. same thing happening in hong kong. lots of signs are gone now; at least there will always be pictures and memories~

Great meeting up with Natchraz and bleckfrog for this experience, it was nice to see this gem right before it got taken down.
