Hey guys. Just finished watching Ratched, streaming on Netflix, and wanted to start a thread to hear y'alls take. For those of us who love our asylums and 1940s green - this show may be IT. The sets and costumes are great.
From the hydrotherapy ---
To the operating theatre ---
And the height of lounge ---
It just makes me wanna skip around the house and rush out to my nearest asylum ---
But maybe I'll be lazy and just give the show another watch ---
It's a drug-filled, raunchy, gory, crazy kinda mess. I give it ✰✰✰✰
Have you seen it? What's your take? Any other solid suggestions for impressive sets celebrating our favorite kinds of abandonments?

Watched the whole series after reading this thread, I thought the ending was very predictable and not much thought was given to it. BUUUUUUUUT the way that it ended leaves this series prime and ready for season 2.

The set design is great, and the overall atmosphere aswell. I'm a bit wary of getting attached to any Netflix shows though, since I heard they have a tendency to kill them quicker than most other networks would when they don't preform as well as they might like. Still, season 2's been greenlit! Hope that they continue with the tension theyve built so well, the feeling of the show really adds to the overall feeling of "knowing the crazy story behind this building makes me want to explore it all the more". If it were ever abandoned of course

Suggest anyone read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Vibes before watching.

I really liked Ratched and AHS. The writers have such a unique aesthetic.
We're new here and to the forum scene in general, any etiquette pointers are appreciated. Stay scary! |
