Abandoned Rural VA Home

Hey everyone, I figured I would share some photos from my first urbex find - this abandoned home in rural Southwest Virginia. I had been interested in urbexxing for a while, but it took me a bit to summon the nerve to actually explore a place. One afternoon I just said "fuck it, I'm exploring something today" and after around 40 mins of driving I find this wonderful find.

Here is a photo of the house from the street:

The house was very isolated, and I managed to find parking a quarter of a mile up the road. Finding a point of entry was pretty easy, because as you can see from this photo, it looked like a bomb went off in the back corner of the house leading to the kitchen:

After walking in I searched around the first floor trying to be as quiet as possible - I was terrified at the possibility of someone squatting in the house, but thankfully I was alone. I made my way up the old ass stairs, and on the upper floor was where the interesting things were, and I'll throw those photos in at the end.

Overall I was really satisfied with this find, happy I managed to get one exploration in, and feeling more confident to explore my next place. Still trying to convince my friends that this is *fun* and they should join me, but in the meantime I'll be exploring solo.

Here is a photo of the staircase:

Here is a photo of the first room I entered on the top floor:

There was this ominous, end-of-days looking sticker saying "CHRIST IS COMING" on it:

In the next room, there were similarly creepy posters half-eaten away on the wall:

Lastly, this room had a lot of random stuff, like clothes, bottles, some old books, and an incredibly old TV that really dates the previous owners:
