Distortion aside do you feel that 14mm is slightly too wide more often than you actually need all the wideness? The narrowest lens I have right now is a 28mm and it’s too narrow and I don’t know if I should get a 14-24mm or a 17-35mm. The 13mm equivalent lens on my phone always felt just a bit wide.
