I see a lot of talk about pepper spray being the go to self defense. But I was wondering if there was anymore more ranged.. being that, i dont really want to be close to someone who maybe has a knife or whatever else. I was thinking maybe a sling shot? Im not sure what else [legal] self protection there could be?

This gets discussed a lot, I'm sure you can find lots of helpful advice in prior threads. It usually comes down to you having to check your local laws. However, given the current state of domestic affairs, I wouldn't want to give anyone any reason to shoot first and ask questions later.

Pepperball gun, Like a small paint bull gone (some look like big flashlights) they can either shoot an inert powder filled ball for when chemical exposure isn't needed or a live pepper ball. The impact alone is enough to make most walk away, most use standard 12 gram CO2 cart's
