I have made a thread like this in the past when Sonoma and Napa Counties were on fire. Santa Cruz/San Mateo County is burning right now, upwards of 50K acres. Please check in here to tell the UER community that you are safe. UC Santa Cruz has been evacuated, so has Pescadero, San Gregorio, La Honda, Skylonda, Scotts Valley and soon enough Felton.
Be safe, evacuate now!

Not near the CZU fire but right next to the SCU fire. On the border of the mandatory/warning evacuation line so I’ll probably get the call in the middle of the night tonight when it’s time to evacuate. Here’s the view of part of the fire from my house a few hours ago.

SCU is worrisome, at least on the CZU side CalFire has one side completely contained by the Pacific Ocean.

CDF is expecting the community of Davenport to be secured sometime soon. Still a lot of active looting in the area. They arrested 5 people the other day and a Fire Captain had his wallet stolen this morning by a thief who then drained the guys bank account. Red flag warning today until Tuesday at 0500 and dry lightning expected to roll through this evening, it's going to cause more problems.
