Abandoned Gas Station

Hi, I've been lurking on this forum for a couple years now. This is my first post so all feedback is welcome. I would always pass by this gas station as a kid. I'm not sure when it closed, but I couldn't find any information on it on the internet. Sorry about the photo quality, they won't be vertical next time.

1.

2. This container in the back was open and all the supplies seem to have been untouched for a very long time

3. I found this pepsi and thought it looked pretty cool. After a little searching, Pepsi took aspartame out of diet pepsi back in 2015 so the sodas have been there for a while.

4. I couldn't find a way in, but the interior looks like its in very good condition.

5. The shed in the back however, was unlocked and still had tons of supplies and signs for the building.

6. These glass panels were in the back of the shed and I assume they were used to swap out gas prices as they fluctuated.

7. One of the gas pumps were open and the interior was pretty interesting since I've never seen inside one before. All the gas nozzles were covered in cobwebs and everything was caked in dust.

The gas station seemed largely untouched and there were almost no signs of vandalism anywhere on the building or the pumps. It was in a pretty remote location so I guess that's why it went out of business.

Oh no, I'm sorry. I don't why some of the pictures are sideways.

if you took your pictures with an iPhone for some reason they upload sideways to UER, its been happening for years and i'm not sure if anyone has come up with a solution other than hosting your photos from an outside source like Flickr.

Either way, cool thread. I like finding old sodas and drinks with old logos. Looks like there are some old vitamin waters inside the storage shed too

Nice to see a familiar place on here! If this is in fact the gas station by the highway, I also drove by it as a kid. Seems to me it was abandoned around 2016 or so? Interesting to see that shed is still completely unlocked.

I’d bring out the owl but since this is your first post and it’s not your fault, owl will remain out of the picture today. This is a cool spot, thanks for sharing.

Yes, I enjoyed the Pepsi aspertame sleuthing! And what better artifact to find at an old gas station than The Big Numbers that go on the sign...

Best Regards
