Pretty neat spot. Getting in can be a hassle. They frequently board up the main entrances (poorly) so bring some rudimentary tools to get in. Address: 319 Chestnut St York, Pennsylvania 17403 USA Floors on floors on floors of cells. Basement with a boiler. Roof access on the top floor via a super sketchy ladder. Tetanus shot recommended before arriving. (Pic is not mine, taken from google. I'm not much of a photographer.

This wayyy to much information for a public forum and is generally frowned upon. Also, discussing POE's is actually against forum policies. I suggest you edit some of the more revealing info out of your post.

This sounds like a trap.

3 years lurking on the forum and your first post involves an address, advocates for BNE, and has a single image off of a roadtripping website. Right. Apologies if my skepticism seems misplaced, but your first post doesn't make a good impression. You don't need to be a photographer to take documentary photos.

Oh man. I'm no expert, but this is clearly one of several things wrong here, as others have said... True urban explorers generally don't make their own entrances.

uhh depends on what you mean by the word "make" without even the most rudimentary tools, I have exploited any number of otherwise closed, locked and or sealed off entry points by bare hands pulling or heavy lifting and often, nothing more formidable than my marginal brain then again some would argue Im not a true urban explorer since I generally don't use prybars or tell people lies to get into buildings

My mistake, I probably should have been more clear, lol. I meant that most "true" urban explorers would never use methods such as breaking through windows/doors, or any other destructive means (essentially versions of BNE) to access buildings. I completely agree with being creative like you described.

If someone is interested i have a contact there (owner) that would probably let you in if youre nice. Info in pm only. Getting in there would require quite more than rudimentary tools, a.k.a a grinder or sawall so...

He's not even providing the GPS coordinates. What a dick!
Everyone has a dark side, mines just a little more illuminated. |

Did they never turn it into that data center?
