Burnt Ford Car Graveyard

In my quest for car graveyards to explore this was one that was handed to me a year or so back maybe longer, but it's distance from home made a trip to see it alone not worthwhile. It was also in an area of the country I rarely ever venture into but lately I found myself within relatively close proximity to it so thought it was as good a time as ever to finally cross it off my to do list of car graveyards.

The site is a former residential property which doubled as the owners business buying, selling and repairing Fords although it looked as if it was mostly buying! At some point around a decade ago an accidental fire broke out in the storage yard and completely destroyed almost all of the cars as well as all of the workshop buildings. The fire must have been enormous and quite a sight as it consumed everything leaving just a mess of burnt out shells. A few years after the fire the house on the property was vacated as well, and at some point this too was subjected to a massive fire which left it a total ruin although that particular fire was definitely more deliberate than the one which broke out around back.

What's left now is a jungle of overgrown carcasses and plants, which was definitely different to shoot than my normal car graveyard stuff. A few of the cars at the very back and very front of the storage yard escaped the flames, but other than that nothing was unscathed.
