Was on my way to another place this week, when i ran into this on the way! Walked all around the building(big). I asked a few locals if this place was closed down. They said yes but had no idea what the building was before closing. Went around the back and it was totally locked down. This building is right next to the Chicago river, as you can see from the pictures, Boats and ships cross the bridge often! Went by the bridge access and noticed the back was boarded up as well(but not impossible to get in).. Was about to leave this area and continue to my original destination when i walked around to the under bridge area and HEARD MUSIC AND VOICES BEHIND THE GATED DOOR!!! Which means Homeless either live inside this big place, or the area branched off into a whole different under level behind the stairs.. Either way, I took a picture of the tunnel/stairs area, have to do some digging on this place. Def coming back here by the weekend, have to do some climbing under the bridge!

I most def will try! Just have to make sure I don't run into a gang or drug out bums. I have no clue if they were in the building in a different end section or a whole different building under the bridge, either way its very intriguing. Especially since i found it, def abandoned but then hear voices on your way out??!

Check your messages. If it’s where I think it is, there are homeless under the bridge area. Last I heard there were plans for it to be rehabbed as warehouse space. I met the owner about 3 years ago after looking for a POE. He totally let me go on and shoot b/c I Jedi Mind Tricked him with historical info on the building.

So it is/they are under the bridge?? From the spot I was looking around, and the music, it sounded like it was coming from inside. it was boarded up and had bars on the window leading to it so i figured the only way possible is to go under the bridge. The area underneath is VERY interesting.
