This popped up on VK last night:
РОССИЯ is RUSSIA in Cyrillic

This curfew BS is getting out of hand. Last night, I stopped at a gas station in Carroll, Iowa and found they closed early due to the curfew. As they were locking up I asked: "why is there a curfew here?" They said because of protests and rioting. Funny, because the nearest unruly protest was 100 miles away in Des Moines. I asked when was the last time there was a protest of any type in Carroll and they were unable to provide an answer.

I was stopped for being out after curfew and told "if you don't start running faster than I can walk, you're under arrest" by a campus cop who seemed upset about being ordered to guard a college stadium instead of gassing protesters downtown with the rest of the department.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

So what are the chances something will change that hasn't changed in the last 110 years since this appeared on the Brooklyn Eagle on January 18, 1910?

This is why I really don't like many small towns. Meanwhile, I urban camped in Philly outdoors past curfew.

Interesting. I even know that one is Russia (I went through a vintage Soviet Cold War poster propaganda phase in my early 20’s, lol), but I never would have had the detail-focused mind to think of reading the cops’ tattoos (I didn’t even think they were allowed to show tattoos). Any idea what that other word could say?

Hmm. I suppose that’s possible. I’ve got nothing, so we’ll go with that!
