It's been a while since iv'e done a post. This was a fun lil spot, I think it would be neat to do a camping trip here sometime. Tried going back recently but there were some older people having an entire picnic near the entrance. 1.

Nice shots! The disposable camera gives them a kind of washed out look that reminds me of vintage photographs, which is pretty cool.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

I am in love with this. Your film shots are wonderrrrrrrfulll <3

Those are great pics. The disposable film is like a filter in itself, makes everything look classic in a way.
aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Is "urbex historian" a legitimate profession? |

All the quarries in Georgia and around Atlanta are pretty active and have tight security; I may have to make this a quarantine day trip. I miss being able to explore something that large without having to look over my shoulder every second. I love the aesthetic from the disposable. Do you develop the film yourself? If you do, how do you get your pictures electronically? I'd love to start more affordably processing my film and getting it electronically.

No I had these developed from The Darkroom. I usually have a developer I got to in Savannah but they were closed for a good min because of Covid. I was thinking about starting to develop my own film soon, I just need to buy the stuff and get comfortable with it.

I feel like I've been here before. Not to give it away but is it south of Lake Hartwell?

That looks really calm and tranquil, it looks like a cool place.

Beautiful! I never considered how charming disposable cameras could be for capturing a location. These have a very warm, earthy atmosphere. Thanks for sharing.

I got a trespassing ticket there in the summer of 2016 so be careful visiting this place.

This place was once wide open but someone bought it and put up razor wire. There are cameras too. The neighbors call the sheriff and he does not play around. I was lucky to visit and photograph more than once but I would not even try it now.

Cool shots. Looks kind of like an amusement park for urbex.

Do you know the locations of the cameras? are they throughout the quarry or just near the buildings?

Back in the day, like in 2001, this place was even more amazing than it is today. There used to be a beautiful abandoned quarry office/house on the top of the hill going up the side road. About 10ish years ago, somebody rehabbed that house and now they live there. We used to go rappelling off the highest point as well but then the sheriff started showing up more often. Definitely a great place to go relax and enjoy nature taking over.
