With the warm weather rolling in I decided to explore a location I found over on Bridgehunters (https://bridgehunt...ny/monroe/bh50711/). Old railroad bridge for transporting coal. The tracks have now been removed, but it still serves as a decent view of the city of you're brave enough to walk out to the middle (I wasn't). The beams of the tracks seem sturdy enough, but they're made of wood and some are starting to rot...

1. The bridge from a near-by abandoned lot ( had to climb a steep hill to reach the bridge end)

2. Looking down the tracks

3.

4.

5. Rochester's (admittedly) small skyline

6.

7. Nearby chemical building? I couldn't tell if this place was abandoned or not. It's surroundings sure are.

Nice find and certainly a neat truss trestle! Too bad the power plant along side the bridge is long gone.

Is that what I'm seeing next to this bridge? Or are you talking about the power plant that used to be up near the falls?
