Oh awesome some youtube jackass shows off the place I've been working hard to keep clean from vandals. Awesome. I've been working hard to give this place the light it needs to not be demolished. I've worked hard documenting it. I've worked alongside the state DEC to keep this place afloat the last thing we need is this. These Graffti assholes have no respect for the history of this place, the men that died there. So then this jackass breaks in to what "document" the ugly graffiti and not the building?

Yes I know exactly what and where this place is. I know this place like the back of my hand. Been going there since 2016.

From the looks of it, there's nothing left to preserve there. I don't think the video makes any difference

There is, this guy did a terrible job filming it, alot of the locations we've cleaned are on the 2nd story which is hard to access. We pretty much gave up the ground floor in the one building.

This looks like an interesting place. Just out of curiosity, when someone posts a video like this does it actually affect the site? I haven't been exploring long at all so any of the places I've seen are still there. Do you expect the either vandals or the owners are going to take action after a video like this goes up?

I haven't been on this website here for all that long but I have been exploring most of my life, and places typically only blow up when someone spreads information about how to get to them. That's why this website has rules about not showing any clear ingress points. If a video or social post of an abandonment gets popular, and it contains either information on where the place is or easy to piece together clues on how to find it, then graffiti and even arson become exponentially more likely.

I work with the companies around the area, we've seen an increase in vandalism since that was posted because some genius asshole in his comments blasted the address, the comment was removed but it was still enough. Yesterday my buddy from CP said they had there windows smashed in. All there equipment was ruined now the cops are patrolling more aggressively, according to my friends at the DEC they are just gonna start arresting people. They've had it. They used to be cool but this past week things have got really bad. Every day this week i've seen some shit vandal spray painting or breaking windows.

It relly sucks that respectful people get grouped in with these assholes. I'm surprised though that the city was okay with you being there though. I figured they'd be worried about liability.
