I went to the adjacent middle school around 2009-2011. Back then PE class had a "bowling" unit where they'd take us over to Mountain Lanes for gym class and have us bowl there- and since it was closed, we had the whole alley to ourselves. The only time I ever saw it in use was for those PE classes, I think the owner mostly kept it around for sentimental value or something.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

This place was really well hidden, I've stayed around the corner from there when visiting family, and even been to the Shopko across the street, and never would've guessed.

i didn't even realize that they took this place down! i went there multiple times as a little kid when i was visiting family in wausau. i think there's a trophy in my grandparents house from some bowling regional that my great grandfather won there in the 80s
